Purpose And Passion In Internet Business

by , under Internet Marketing

When I was commencing my entrepreneurial journey four years ago, my pastor friend asked me who’s my model in entrepreneurship. My immediate reply was – Rick Warren.

Pastor Rick Warren, even though not your normal business owner, is extensively recognized as highly entrepreneurial. As a pastor of one of the biggest Christian congregations in America, his business expertise has been highly praised. Some say that if Rick Warren is in the business world, he can qualify as a Chief Executive Officer of a Fortune 500 corporation. His popular book Purpose Driven Church is now a standard management book; a recommended reading for Bank of America managers. And it served as one of the most important internet business resources for me.

Almost four years ago, I left my relatively relaxed occupation in the government to pursue my dream. For the reason that my desire is to help myself become thriving businessman while serving others, I figured network marketing was the best business model for me.

I wanted to build a Christ-centered network marketing group but I was clueless No one in my upline could assist. At that time, I didn’t know what book to read. However my attention was directed to Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Church.

Even though Rick Warren never expected it would be applied as a business administration resource, there’s much the world of business can benefit from it.

Nothing precedes purpose, as Rick Warren says. The starting stage for every church, or any business for that matter, should be the question, “Why do we exist?”

Right from the beginning, I knew what my purpose in business was.

For that reason in spite of all the challenges and setbacks I experienced this past four years,

I did not waver. While I’m no longer doing network marketing, my initial dream of aiding other marketers has never changed. With the assistance of my online business teacher, I’m now equipping myself to become an internet business consultant in the future.

Reading Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Church is like perusing a usual management or marketing book. For example, there are sections on “Defining Your Purposes”, “Who is Your Target”, “Knowing Whom You Can Best Reach”, and “Developing Your Strategy”.

When I left my work, I never expected shifting from employee to entrepreneur would be extended and thorny for me. Although the idea of quiting never occurred to me, there were heartbreaking times when I didn’t know where to go. It’s during those moments that I would recall the story shared by Rick Warren on Chinese bamboo tree.

The Chinese bamboo tree is a marvelous plant. You plant a bamboo sprout in the ground. You water and fertilize for four or five years but it lies sleeping. But on the fifth year, things change dramatically. In a six-week period it grows to be a staggering ninety feet tall!

Everyone goes through a so-called learning curve. We may not be seeing any solid results when we are just starting out in internet marketing. But we should not be downcast. If we keep at it, in due time and with the help of God, we will harvest our prize and attain life purpose.
