As you begin making friends within your niche you will see the possibility rise for link exchanges first. This is by far the most common form of cross promotion and is quite powerful if the blog you are exchanging links with has high authority and is related. Another way to build a cross promotional partnership is going out and offering your competition the chance to write an article and place it on your website or blog. This is called guest posting and when you have someone well known on the web come and write an article for you usually you will see your traffic increase. You can also go out to their websites and blogs offering to write for them in return for a link back to your website. This is a great way to introduce yourself to their traffic and readers as well as increase your search engine position.
